For years I have enjoyed all things practical and have taken any opportunity that arose to build something, decorate something or simply be helpful for colleagues, friends and family.
After 17 years of working in the Health Service, I decided I wanted to be even more active in using my non-clinical skills. That is how the idea for 'Help at Home Solutions' began.
I realised when working with people in my professional capacity as a Physiotherapist, that many people often need help and simple jobs doing at home or in their gardens. They could either not manage these themselves or didn't have the time. However, many of these jobs didn't fall specifically into a trade professional's role and only needed some attention from a capable pair of hands.
My venture is as much about my own enjoyment as it is about growing a business, and not my sole source of employment. Therefore, I realised I could offer a lot of support and services at low prices, without needing the income on its own to get by.
I also have a network of trusted friends with similar skills that often help me with jobs that need a bit more that i can do on my own.
